Owls Close Out Their Season on Last Day of SCSC Champs

Orlando, FL - The Owls finished off the season right at the Sun Coast Swimming Conference Championships. In the finals session the success was led by Mara Trowbridge who improved her season best time by 1 minute and 10 seconds in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 20:23.58, landing her a 6th place finish. Next there were a series of best times in the 100 Freestyle including Lucy Thompson with a time of 1:13.37, Sierra Bell with a time of 1:15.67, Alie Covington with a time of 1:16.41, and Michael Nowak with a time of 1:22.92. Lastly Sarah Scott earned a 9th place finish in the 200 Breastroke with a time of 3:36.19 and Malcolm Mitchell Bennett placed 8th in the event with a time of 3:19.23, both earning personal best times.

"It felt really good beating two of my personal records and my team mates, especially Mara, are super inspiring and push me to want to keep improving" Said Senior Michael Nowak.

The women's team was able to defeat LaGrange College 91-54. The owls are already looking forward to next season!
