On Friday and Saturday, February 20-21, The Warren Wilson College Owls swimming teams took a 9th place combined finish while competing in the 2009 Appalachian Swimming Championships held at Marshall University. 

The two-day championship format featured preliminaries in all events, with the fastest 24 swimmers coming back to swim the same events at night in the finals (top 8), consolation finals (9-16th) and the bonus final (17-24th place).
