The 2009 Warren Wilson Mountain Bike team opened up their 2009 season at Georgia Tech University August 22-23.  The men were lead by Linden Blaisus who finished in second place in the ITT (15:32) and STXC, third in the XC (1:45:54), and seventh in the DS (22.112).  The women were lead by Tallulah Winquist claiming second place in the ITT (20:45), STXC, and XC (1:22:44) and sixth in the DS (27.916).  The women were also highlighted by Nina Otter's first place finish in the Dual Slalom with a time of 25.477.
 
Alec Hamilton and Josh Hubing-Cooper also competed well for the Owls men.  Hamilton finished fourth in the ITT (16:11), sixth in the XC (1:51:07), ninth in the STXC, and twelfth in the DS (26.823).  Hubing-Cooper finished fifth in the ITT (16:36), XC (1:51:00), and STXC.

The women also received solid contributions from Otter and Becca Parish.  To go along with the her first place finish, Otter also collected third place finishs in the ITT (20:59) and XC (1:23:57) and a fourth place finish in the STXC.  Becca Parish chipped in with a third place finish in the DS (26.153), a fourth place finish in the ITT (23:08), a sixth place finish in the XC (1:32:30), and a seventh place finish in the STXC.
