Luke Bernard, a senior forward from Nelson County, VA, was named by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) as the men's soccer player of the week for the week of October 20th-26th. 

Bernard helped the Owls to two wins over Averett and Ferrum to close out the 2008 season.  He tallied 3 goals and 1 assist in the two games as well as 11 total shots (7 on goal). 

The senior forward ended the season with 62 shots (32 on goal), 23 points, 10 goals and 3 assists.
