The Warren Wilson men's soccer team improved to 5-7 on the season after a 2-1 road victory over Ferrum College.

The Owls trailed 1-0 going into the 24th minute when Kyle Carpenter found fellow senior Luke Bernard to tie the game 1-1.

Early in the second half with the game tied, Carpenter found the back of the net  unassisted to score what proved to be the game winner. 

Goalie Brett Buffington faced 19 total shots and recorded 9 saves.  Bernard led the Owls with 5 shots (3 on goal).

The Fighting Owls conclude their 2008 season with a road game at Averett University on Monday, October 20, at 4:00 pm.
