    The Warren Wilson College swim team competed against Division II Mars Hill on Saturday and lost to the Lions by a combined score of 289-131.  The women lost 157-74 while the men were edged 132-57.  

    Highlights for Warren Wilson women came from sophomore Laetitia Mead who broke two WWC varsity records and earned first place finishes in both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke..  Mead broke the 13 year old 100 yard breaststroke (1:15.54) record by two seconds and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:45.08) by six seconds.  

    The men were lead by senior Johnathon Bland's first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle which was just .27 seconds off the varsity record set in 2001.
