Mountain Biking in Action
The Warren Wilson college mountain biking team finished in first place at the University of Florida Cycling competition.  Dustin Schemel led the men with a third place finish in the TT, a sixth place finish in the cross country, and a second place finish in the short track.  Hanna Waldman won the pump track for the women while also placing fourth in the TT and third in the short track.

TT Results -- Dustin Schemel secured a third place finish for the Owls with a time of 37:00 followed closely by Linden Blaisus (4th, 37:15), David Bishop (13th, 46:07), and Matt Williams (14th, 47:01).  The women were led by the thrid place finish of Vanessa Emery (44:35) followed by Hanna Waldman (4th, 45:28) and Nina Otter (5th, 46:22).

Cross Country -- The men's team placed five guys in the top ten led by David Bishop's second place finish (1:51:30) while Linden Blaisis (3rd, 1:51:40), Matt Williams (4th, 1:52:10), Dustin Schemel (6th, 1:53:45), and Ben West (9th, 2:06:12) followed closely behind.  The women competed equally well securing three top ten finishes led by Vanessa Emery's 3rd place finish with a time of 1:36:25.  Nina Otter (1:38:36) and Ileana Anderson (1:55:13) followed closely behind Emery to secure third and sixth place spots, respectively.

Pump Track -- The women's team dominated the pump track led by Hanna Waldman's championship race (1:08:75).  Vanessa Emery (3rd, 1:14:46), Nina Otter (4th, 1:16:01), and Ileana Anderson (5th, 1:18:27) earned top five finishes.  The men's team was led by Phil Martin's sixth place finish (59:40) while Matt Williams (8th, 1:01:25) and Ben West (13th, 1:06:12) followed closely behind.

Short Track -- The short track was led by Dustin Schemel and Hanna Waldman who finished second and third in their respective races.  The women claimed third, fourth, fifth, and sixth place in the event while the men earned fourth, seventh, eighth, and eleventh place finishes.
