Roswell, GA - The mountain bike team continued their conference season at GA Tech last weekend, with a number of top rides throughout the weekend.

The race was held in Roswell, GA, on deceptively hard courses. While not overly technical, they were relentless, and rewarded smooth, patient riding.

As she has all year, India Waller led the Owls throughout the weekend. Waller's form is clearly on the rise, and she took 4th in a hotly contested XC race, along with 5th in the DH and 6th in the short track – a stellar effort for the weekend. Also looking strong for the women's team were Sophie Allen and Mason Hopkins. Allen had her best ever result in the XC, while Hopkins put together a trio of top 15 finishes despite coming off a sickness. In the Women's B races, Leah Silverman put together a phenomenal 2nd place finish in the short track, while Linnea Benson rocked her first ever mountain bike races, taking 7th in the cross country.

On the men's side, freshman Alden Lee, also riding the first mountain bike races of his life, had standout performances in the Men's C XC and short track events, bringing home podiums in each. Jack Ramsey added a 6th place in the Men's B short track and Trevor McDonald hopped on a hardtail and brought home 10th in the Men's B XC. Harris Wagner continued his string of solid gravity results with another top 20 finish in the Men's A downhill.

With exciting performances from riders in every category, the team had a lot to cheer about as they drove home to Asheville Sunday afternoon. And, with a number of riders coming back from sickness and nagging injuries, the Owls are looking forward to an even better weekend at the SECCC conference championships in two weeks.
