Louisville, KY - The Fighting Owls of Warren Wilson College men's soccer traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, to face off against the Bulldogs of Boyce College. The first half saw both teams create scoring chances, in an end to end thrilling half. Boyce College had the best attempt of the half, when the Bulldogs broke through the Owls defense, with a well-placed through ball, but Goalkeeper Laszlo Reed, was equal to the shot, with a diving save to keep the ball out of the upper corner of the net. The score going into the half was 0-0

The second half was a different game altogether. The Owls looked to isolate the attacking play of the Bulldogs by adding defenders. The Bulldogs responded by attacking the width, and through the use of the wide areas, earned a Penalty Kick for handling the ball in the box off of a dangerous cross. Boyce College converted that free kick, and then scored two more goals in a matter of ten minutes. By the time the Owls recovered and became the aggressor again, it was too late. After a great match from both sides, the final was 0-3 the Bulldogs the victors.

The Owls will look to regroup as they face off against Southern States Community College tomorrow.
