The Fighting Owls men's soccer team made the most of their chances handing the USC-Sumter Fire Ants a 3-2 defeat.  Warren Wilson evened their record to 2-2 on the season with the win.

The Owls broke the scoreless tie about 15 minutes in as Lincoln Bresser beat Fire Ants keeper Myles Rumbold with a low shot to the near-post. Alex Babbitt made it 2-0 about 10 minutes later as he bent a free kick around the wall from about 20 yards out.

The Owls lead 2-1 at the half and scored on their first shot of the second half when Bressor flicked the ball over Rumbold's head for his second goal of the game.   Warren Wilson withstood a late rally by USC-Sumter to secure the victory.

Brett Buffington (16 saves) had another great game in goal for the Owls thwarting most Fire Ants opportunities.

Warren Wilson plays next Saturday, September 12 at home versus Bluefield College.  Game time is slated for 2:00 pm.
